Lecture to mark the Canonization of Blessed John Henry Newman

October 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Blessed John Henry Newman will be canonized by Pope Francis on 13th October this year. To mark this wonderful occasion Dr. Angelo Bottone will give a lecture in the library on Newman as Saint. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Seumas O’Kelly celebrated in the Pearse Museum, Rathfarnham

November 9 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

  The JoyceStagers celebrate the writing of Seumas O'Kelly (1880-1918) in a performance from his stories and plays. Everyone is welcome to the Pearse Museum, St. Enda's, Rathfarnham for this very special afternoon. As well as the performance, there will be a short talk by Liam Kenny on "Seumas O'Kelly - a gentle revolutionary".

Seumas O’Kelly celebrated at the National Library of Ireland

November 14 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The literary legacy of Seumas O'Kelly will be celebrated with an illustrated  lecture by Fiana Griffin in the National Library this Thursday lunchtime. Fiana Griffin will link Harry Clarke's ill-fated Geneva window with what is perhaps O'Kelly's best known short story, The Weaver's Grave. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Celebrating Seumas O’Kelly

November 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The literary legacy of Seumas O'Kelly will be celebrated tomorrow at Sweny's Pharmacy in Dublin's Lincoln Place. Visitors can take part in a shared reading of two stories from O'Kelly's collection Waysiders. Everyone is welcome, and the event is free to the public.
